Deborah Malkoff-Cohen, MS, RD, CDN, CDE is the founder and owner of City Kids Nutrition, a nutritional consultation service for children living in and around New York City. Known for her innovative approach to spooning nutritional knowledge into small bellies, Deborah is passionate about helping kids achieve physical and emotional health.
Whether she is overhauling menus for schools in New York City or counseling families in the kitchen on how to best nourish their children, Deborah has committed her life to spreading the message of proper nutrition. She has worked in NYC’s Early Intervention program providing parental support and nutrition services to kids with Autism, food allergies, preemies, failure-to- thrive, picky eaters, ADHD, etc. for over 10 years.
Deborah became interested in nutrition at a young age when her father was diagnosed with heart disease. Turning her interests into a career, Deborah received her Masters in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and graduated with honors from SUNY Albany with a degree in psychology. Deborah also has her certification in diabetes and is a Diabetes Educator for a well-respected endocrinologist in Manhattan.
